AED, EDR AND RGD O-RINGS
Explosive Decompression (ED) is also known as Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD). This condition occurs after an elastomer is exposed to a gas laden fluid in the presence of high pressure. The pressure compresses the gas and forces it into the small spaces of the elastomer. If the rate of decompression happens quickly, the gas expands beyond the materials ability to contain the gas bubbles. This then causes fissuring, resulting in seal failure.
We offer Norsok M-710 Certified Anti-Explosive Decompression (AED), Explosive Decompression Resistant (EDR) O-Rings at very competitive prices. Our wide range of NORSOK approved materials are suitable for a variety of critical services and applications. We supply a range of formulations within the HNBR, Viton B, Viton GLT and FFKM materials that have passed the NORSOK M-710 requirements.
